What you need to get in to the Bachelor of Applied Business Administration at Southern Alberta Institute of Technology?
Students applying for year 1 or 2 should apply to the Business Administration Diploma in the Accounting major. Years 3 and 4 of the Applied Degree are built on the two year diploma. Year 3 applicants must have completed a two-year Business Administration or Accounting diploma or equivalent at an accredited post-secondary institution, with a minimum 2.3 grade-point average, (65% or C+). This diploma must include a minimum of 20 courses, or 60 credits, and contain the following coursework: Intermediate Accounting II, Business Communications, Financial Management, Management Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, and Marketing. Students choosing the Accounting major must also have completed a Taxation course prior to admission into year 3. Students choosing the Accounting and Information Technology major must also have completed Internet Applications (BCPT-381) and Network Management for Financial Managers (BCPT-385) courses prior to admission into year 3.
